So many people comment on her videos, on the forum, and even personally YT message me about GuillotineCalamity and her multi-faceted story line. I’m writing this to address the newcomers to her specific arc. If you are new to ARG please read this thread first.
Who is GuillotineCalamity?
GuillotineCalamity (also known as GC, Sister, and LW) is a seventeen year old girl who began making pro-OpAphid “propaganda” videos in response to many Lonelygirl15 and Tachyon videos. GC then began to tell her own story as it unfolded. She’s also foretold many LG15 events before they happened.
What is GuillotineCalamity’s story?
The form in which her story unravels is slowly and at different parts. The story is told through many different characters, videos, and blog spots. Here is the basic story about GuillotineCalamity:
She was raised in a Texas community. Her Grandfather (CredoWw, Wolffe or W) was the leader of this community. He had become the leader through quiet assassination and he reigns by doing “dirty dealings” and dark actions. His influence has spread all over the southern half of The Order’s territory, which concerns The Order.
When she was much younger she lived peacefully in The W Community. She and her sister, Caroline Walker, were probably well respected because of their grandfather. GC was a social butterfly and had many friends within her peers, some didn’t like her and some did. Her group consisted of: Simon (serveshallslaves), Antoinette (Itrog or Anne Marie), Caroline, Riley (autumnriley), and Eli (codesintoveritas, who was an outsider of the community). The group was actually much bigger.
Sister and Simon were especially close. Simon held some sort of viable apprentice role within the Community. He was also beginning to see how corrupt W was. Simon must have also associated with a group of older boys who had nothing to do with Sister’s group. These boys referred to themselves as The Lost Boys and obeyed Simon. We don’t know what Simon’s goal was in ordering these boys to perform specific tasks (such as setting the library on fire) and we may never know. One night there was a “massacre” and all The Lost Boys were discovered dead in the morning. GC explains that W said this was because of a fever. The only one who was alive was Simon who had escaped the community leaving Sister a note telling her to take care of her older sister, Caroline.
Years passed by and GC was uneasy. Everything seemed to slowly bubble under the surface.
One night her sister, Caroline, returned from a walk on The Community’s property. She was covered with scratches and bruises, but that wasn’t the worst of it. She locked herself in her room for ten days, speaking only in riddles when spoken to through her door. On the eleventh day she was hospitalized at a mental institution. She confided in GC that she heard five voices, two being the strongest. Those two voices were called Helena and Cassandra. Caroline kept notebooks of what she heard. These notebooks were passed down to GC when Caroline committed suicide on December 22, 2005. GC has been known to play word games with her sister’s name. The most recent is: caroLINE WALKer. LINE WALK anagrams to A NEW KILL.
GC and Antoinette relocated to California with some of their family. Their family’s goal was to speak to The Order about W’s Community, or maybe it was to spread W’s Community in California. GC began having questions about Caroline’s death. After a year or so GC realized the only way to get information about Caroline’s death was to revisit the Community in Texas. When The Order caught wind that she was planning to revisit W, they asked her to do something very treacherous (we don’t know what this was). She must have had suspicions about Wolffe because she agreed her allegiance to The Order, more specifically OpSLY (flyslyohmy). So she packed her bags and went to Texas.
This is where the viewer is first introduced to GuillotineCalamity: when she visits her grandfather in Texas. Her story unwraps from there. We follow her as she stumbles upon information that leads to her grandfather’s mistrust and attempt to kill her while she slept (a haunting reminiscent of the way The Lost Boys died.) Somehow she escaped the Community and is now on the run and working to expose them.
The story continues from there, tying in TheLadyLazarus as either friend or foe of GC or even Caroline. What is so addictive about this arc is the layer upon layer of stories and perspectives that we are able to see. GuillotineCalamity blurs the lines of Good and Evil that were set by Lonelygirl15, Tachyon, and OpAphid and creates something almost entirely different. This arc dabbles in the darker regions of spirituality, treachery, spies, romance, and friendship to create a spellbinding story.
Why all the nick names?
From what I see, each character has a set of nicknames given to them by different operations. GuillotineCalamity is recognized as SISTER by Simon, her friends, and contacts; however, she is called “L” by all members of the W community. This goes for all of the characters.
The slang GC uses is original and draws from inspiration from the movie Brick. The double and “triple knots” of her contact (communication or ‘tact) is what makes the game so fun.
How does this tie in with Lonelygirl15?
Although GC’s story does use the same Order, GC (and Riley) has made references to knowing Tachyon (Tachyface) and Jonas (Memory Boy). We don’t know how they’re all connected… yet, but be sure that it will be revealed to us in the future (and it will probably be a bit shocking.)
How can I get started?
I’d like to tell you to read this, this, and this then watch ALL of the videos but that isn’t realistic. The best way to get started is to dive in head first into the forums. Interact with the characters as much as you can. Make threads and asks A LOT of questions. We’re here to work together.
